p's & q's press
- Christine Tacq
- The p’s & q’s press prints mainly intaglio and letterpress books, also small books using new technologies, always in search of more expressive combinations of image and text. Recent publications include collaborations, translations, anthologies and other collections. The press was established in 1999. The first book by the artist was The Monkeys’ Dream (1991). Christine Tacq completed a BA at Kingston College of Art and was awarded a French government Fine Art Scholarship to spend the following year etching at the Atelier run by Johnny Friedlaender in Paris. Christine continued printmaking at Bristol Artspace. A residency in Milton Keynes resulted in the publication of her first artists book. Recently Christine has enjoyed creating letterpress books with other artists, including Jose San Martin and Leonie Lachlan. The p's & q's Press is based in Thame, Oxfordshire.
